Cristiano Ronaldo Wins Another Monthly Individual Award at Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo continued his impressive form towards the end of the season for Manchester United in April and his performance in the month earned the Portuguese superstar another Manchester United Player of the Month award.

The five-time Ballon d’Or award winner scored five goals in April in just four appearances. In fact, he scored all of Manchester United’s goals in the month and was at the centre of every good thing the club did.

The former Real Madrid star scored a hat-trick, which was capped off with a stunning free-kick to roll back the years against Norwich City, before following that up with a goal against Arsenal and another against Chelsea. His goal against the Blues got Manchester United a point from the game.

Cristiano Ronaldo competed for the award against David De Gea, who was equally impressive for the Red Devils, and Nemanja Matic, who provided the assist for two of Cristiano Ronaldo’s five goals in April. The Manchester United legend got 74 percent of the total votes cast while David De Gea and Nemanja Matic got 21 percent and five percent respectively.

His latest award makes it back-to-back Player of the Month award wins for the 37-year-old after he won the March edition. It is also his fourth Manchester United Player of the Month award win of the season.
