Check Current EPL table & Match review after Man Utd won 3-0 today

Manchester United hosted Brentford in what was the home side last league game at Old Trafford in the 2021/2022 season.

The red devils needed a win if they were to keep their hopes of playing in Europe next season although they faced a tough test from a Brentford side that has found form in recent weeks.

The game got off to a flying start after Antonio Elanga showed good turn of pace before squaring the ball for Bruno Fernandes to tap into an empty net.

United were dominant throughout the opening half and the home side thought they had increased their lead after Cristiano Ronaldo scored from a fine counter attack involving Bruno Fernandes and Juan Mata although the Portuguese strike was correctly chalked off for offside by VAR.

United increased their tally in the second half of the game as Cristiano Ronaldo won and converted a penalty just after the hour mark.

The home side tripled their lead deep in the game as Raphael Varane rose highest to a corner from Alex Telles with the game ending in that manner as United secured an emphatic 3-0 win over a helpless Brentford side.

Here’s how the EPL table looks like after Manchester United won against Brentford today

United remain in 6th position on the table despite their win over Brentford with the Red Devils still a long way off the top 4 on the league table.
