Timaya, a Nigerian singer, has spoken out after being arrested hours after being accused of almost killing a young lady.
The musician was detained by security operatives of the Lagos police command on Thursday morning after they invaded his apartment for reportedly beating a lady around Ikate Lekki, Lagos, on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, according to Naija News.

Timaya is said to have fled after seeing what he did, and all attempts by the victim’s sister to contact him were futile, as he also blocked them on Instagram.

According to Osinubi Omowumi, a victim’s sister, the music artist allegedly rammed his car into her sister after she confronted him about her car being damaged.

Omowumi went on to accuse the music superstar of injuring her sister severely.

She claimed that all attempts to contact the musician to do the ‘necessary’ were futile, as he went on to block her on all social media networks.

Timaya told his side of the story on Instagram Live this afternoon, stating that he had no idea he had damaged the lady’s car and had stopped to get her number so he could pay for the damages.

However, after seeing four hostile males racing towards his car, he hastily sped away, and the lady, believing he was attempting to flee, grabbed the side mirror, causing her to fall and receive injuries.

He insisted that he had no malice against anyone.
